Biography

Associate Attorney

Allie counsels individuals and families, helping them understand and navigate the law, develop comprehensive plans to care for their loved ones, transfer assets, and clarify and manage their responsibilities during probate. Allie has worked with our team for nearly a decade, beginning as a legal intern during law school before joining our firm as an associate attorney after graduation. Allie has worked with clients across the front range from diverse backgrounds, affluence, and individual estate planning experience; she offers a fresh perspective and strategic, sound, and approachable sensibility.

My Approach

While necessary, planning for the future can sometimes be uncomfortable and confusing. Many people have misconceptions about the law or feel intimidated by it. Estate planning might also be the first instance in a client's life where they have hired an attorney. Some clients are also, understandably, reluctant to think about what their wishes would be in the event of a life-altering accident or death.

I'm honored to support and advocate for so many individuals and families, whether we're having meaningful discussions about their estate planning or when I am helping manage an unfortunate turn of events in a client's life. I'm grateful to help bring light and clarity to these situations, to make sure my clients know they are heard, and that I will work diligently to further their goals.

My Community

Born and raised in Colorado, I love the ease and beauty of living in the foothills of Arvada with my husband, Brooks, our young children, and our rescue animals, Annie Oakley, Wyatt Earp, and Doc Holliday. We often explore the parks and trails near our home, visit local breweries with family and friends, or go hiking and camping in the state and national parks in the Rocky Mountains. I love sports and am an avid fan of most local Colorado professional teams and the South Carolina Gamecocks. I also enjoy cultivating my backyard garden, staying active with various fitness and outdoor challenges, practicing my cello, and reading current events and historical and political non-fiction.

Supporting underserved populations is important to me, whether volunteering at local animal shelters or working across language barriers to advocate for working-class and immigrant communities. I am active with the Tribal Wills Project at the Sturm College of Law, which provides pro bono estate planning counsel to Navajo, Ute, and Crow Nation families and individuals. Just as with our law office clients, Tribal Wills works to clarify ever-fluctuating state and federal laws and help these folks develop comprehensive and empowered estate plans.
